La Désirade is a small island, 11 km by 2 km. Away from tourism development, the island has remained wild. A single tarmac road runs across La Désirade, wind turbines provide the necessary electricity, and running water has only been supplied since 1991! The island is not very populated, so everyone knows each other. The people are welcoming, the atmosphere relaxed, the coasts not really built up — in short, we love it!

The different options

Sea shuttle from Saint-François
Departing from Saint-François by sea shuttle, you will head towards La Désirade. Crossing approximately 45 min.
You will discover an island with end-of-the-world landscapes, 11 km long and 2 km wide. The north is uninhabited, with huge cliffs plunging into the ocean; on the southern slope, barely 1,600 inhabitants live year-round, mainly from fishing. A fishermen’s island and protected nature, you will also discover its little chapel up in the heights.

Saint-François times, Monday to Sunday: 8:00 am – 4:45 pm
Crossing-only price: €35/adult and €20/child under 12.

It couldn’t be easier! You have two options:

Online, directly on our website, at any time.
In person, by contacting us by phone, e-mail or WhatsApp, or by coming to meet us at one of our stands in Guadeloupe (Marina de Saint-François, Sainte-Anne, Gosier — subject to availability).

Once you have chosen your excursion, simply indicate the desired date and the number of participants. A bank card pre-authorisation will then be requested to validate your request: no amount is charged at this stage.

We accept payment by bank card and, depending on the activity, by bank transfer or in cash on site. Your banking information is fully secured through our online payment partner, for worry-free booking.

Yes: the full amount of your excursion is paid once the booking is confirmed.

In practice, when you make your request, we simply carry out a bank card pre-authorisation — nothing is charged yet. Our team then checks availability with the provider. If the excursion can go ahead on the desired date, your booking is confirmed and payment is taken. If the provider is not available, no amount is charged.

You first receive an automatic e-mail confirming that your booking request has been received.
Once availability has been confirmed with the provider, a second e-mail is sent to you with everything you need: a summary of your booking, the meeting place and time, as well as the contact details of the team who will welcome you on site.

We will review your request based on the provider’s availability and our terms and conditions of sale, and get back to you as soon as possible.

The safety and success of your experience come first. If weather conditions or other circumstances do not allow the excursion to be carried out safely, the provider informs our team and you are fully refunded.
You are of course welcome to reschedule your outing for another date if you wish: we remain by your side to find the best solution.
